Where is the festival held?

  • Sessions are generally conducted at the Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre and Sunnybrook United Church in Red Deer. Additional venues may be used as circumstances require.

Where do I park at Red Deer Polytechnic?

  • You should park in the Public parking lot directly north of the Arts Centre. Parking charges are in effect during daytime sessions, but the Festival will cover the cost of your parking when you volunteer. Please bring your license plate number with you. Note that there are no parking fees in effect at Sunnybrook United Church.

What time do I need to arrive?

  • Please check in at the Festival Office a minimum of 30 minutes before your session begins to pick up your folder or cash box and receive any last minute instructions for the classes.

Where is the Festival Office?

  • The Festival Office is usually located in Room AC 160, which is just inside the main West entrance to the Arts Centre. At Sunnybrook United Church, the Festival Office will be in the sanctuary lobby directly in front of you when you enter the building.

How will I know what my duties are?

  • Instructions will be sent to you by e-mail. When you arrive at your session, you will be briefed by the Volunteer Coordinator or Festival Director.

What if I need to cancel my scheduled session?

  • Please contact Judy Robins Weir as soon as you know you are unable to attend.
